Greater DC Cares, the region’s largest coordinator of volunteerism, has a long history of providing resources – volunteers’ time, expertise, and energy – to nonprofits where they are needed most.

Greater DC Cares is a leading innovator of philanthropy, magnifying the impact of social change efforts by engaging all community assets - including volunteers, pro-bono consultants, board members and in-kind resources - and creating a network of nonprofits, volunteers, and businesses to forge healthier communities.





Women for Women International

Since 1993, Women for Women International has served more than 93,000 women and distributed approximately $32 million in direct aid and microcredit loans.

We help women advance from being victims to attaining stability as survivors to becoming active citizens in their communities. By joining Women for Women International, thousands of women:

Women for Women International’s offices in each country where we work become engines for change in their communities. Ninety-nine percent of our overseas staff members are country nationals.
